This shirt is an absolute heater.
From the second you pull it out of the bag you can tell Grindstone didn’t phone this one in. The orange and black plaid hits hard, rich, saturated, and aggressive without looking cartoonish. The fabric has that perfect mid weight flannel hand, substantial enough to feel premium, soft enough that you want to live in it, and just the right amount of structure so it doesn’t go limp after a few wears.
The details are pure flex. Black pearl snaps all the way down, dual chest pockets with clean flap construction, and that little woven Grindstone Grooming Co. label on the pocket that sits perfectly. Flip the collar and you’re greeted by the full Rooster neck label, rooster perched on a pile of skulls ready for war, “Designed in Indiana” underneath. It’s one of the best labels I’ve seen on any flannel this year. Instant conversation piece.
Fit is on point. True to size with a solid, work ready cut that still looks sharp when you leave it untucked. The collar sits right, the shoulders hang clean, and the length is dialed. You can throw this over a tee for a casual day or button it up and look intentional. Either way it works.
Grindstone took everything that makes their grooming products feel authentic and transferred that same no BS energy into apparel. The Rooster isn’t just another flannel, it’s a statement piece that actually feels like it was built by people who understand the culture.
If you missed the drop, you better hope and pray you got a buddy that bought an extra one your size, or try and find one on the resale market right now, because this ain't no restock. This one belongs in the rotation. Hard recommend, easy five stars on this one. 🤘😃
