Purchased The Apprentice Collection because of the unique scent profile AND I wanted to try Grindstone's beard butter with Sal Butter as its primary component. Feel in beard always being primary, both the oil blend and the butter are simply exceptional! Daniel's products are top notch and deserve a spot in anyone's rotation - and especially so if you like stronger, truly long-lasting scents. As to scent itself, The Apprentice is unique, totally different from anything else in the collection. The birchwood and oud are PLENTY masculine enough to handle the sweet, almost whimsical, cotton candy, which develops more of a toasted sugar note deeper into the wear. Overall, the profile strikes me as undeniably woody with a faint bit of charring or smokiness, co-mingling with an alluring, warm sweetness all nicely grounded in an evocative, resinous depth. SUPERB!

We love this scent!! So sad that we aren’t able to get more! This would be my husband’s go to beard oil and fragrance if we could get more. Please bring this back!!
